Galleries and Exhibitions 101: Amplifying Black Voices
Galleries and Exhibitions 101: Amplifying Black Voices
During this workshop we will cover the ins and outs of exhibiting artwork at both domestic and international art galleries. We will also be focusing on how to plan and throw independent art exhibitions outside of gallery shows. Topics will include things like finding and applying to galleries, developing bodies of work, creating a show budget and more.
After a presentation from Antoinette, participating artists will enter into breakout sessions with Kris Rhymes and Shoreigh Williams. You will sign up for one of the two breakout sessions at registration the day of the workshop. Space is capped for each breakout session and will be first come first served. At the end of the workshop there will be a mixer with light bites and time to network with several art industry leaders.
