“My Therapist & I” Artist Lecture and Moderated Discussion
Join artist Antoinette Cauley for an intimate artist lecture and conversation surrounding her newest body of work, Welcome to the Circus, on Thursday, May 22 from 6:00–8:30 PM at The Mood Room in Midtown Phoenix.
In this deeply personal discussion, Cauley will share the story and emotional landscape behind the collection, exploring themes of identity, survival, healing, and transformation. The evening will also feature a moderated conversation between the artist and her therapist of over 10 years, Kelly Zaragoza, founder and owner of Via Counseling. Together, they will reflect on the therapeutic journey that helped shape the work and the realities of navigating mental and emotional abuse.
The conversation will be moderated by Patrick De Leon, poet, scholar, and current professor at Arizona State University.
Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A with the artist following the discussion.
